Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Tyranids
This content requires the base game Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War in order to play.
On Gladius Prime, where cities and agriculture used to be… Now there is only war. Orcs, Necrons, Space Marines, and the Astra Militarum compete for control of a dying world. But something worse lurks in the shadows. Savage Tyranids roam the surface of the planet, escaping from an Imperial research facility. All life on the Gladius will tremble with fear.
The Great Devourer is coming.
Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – The Tyranids introduce a new race to join the fight for Gladius Prime! Thanks to their many unique mechanics, they are a completely different faction than any other in the game. The distinctive traits of the Tyranids are also represented in the way they play. They are a hungry, very hungry swarm. They will consume the lands of Gladius Prime!
For the Tyranids, to remain motionless is to die. They consume and move on. When the organism has served its purpose, from the smallest Ripper to the most powerful Tyrant, they are happy to go to the reclamation tank so their biomass can be reused.
Tyranid units are monstrosities, adapted by the Norn Queens who control them to devour the DNA of their enemies. Many of their troops—from the mighty Tervigons and Trigons to the human-sized Hormagaunts and Termagants—can adapt to fight their enemies by mutating toxin bags, acidic blood, adrenaline-laden adrenal glands, or other inhuman creations within themselves.
