At the beginning of Resident Evil Revelations 2 , fan-favorite Claire Redfield returns in dramatic circumstances. Known from previous Resident Evil games and a survivor of the Raccoon City accidents, Claire currently works for an organization called Terra Save, which is dedicated to combating bioterrorism. Moira Burton is on her way to a welcome party at Terra Save when unknown military forces launch an attack on the office. Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious, only to wake up later in a dark and abandoned detention center. Together, they must find out who kidnapped them and what is the purpose of these sinister actions. Will Claire and Moira survive and find out why they were taken to this desolate island? Full of dramatic twists and turns, the story will keep players on the edge of their seats throughout.
On his way to an abandoned prison island where Barry Burton hopes to find his missing daughter, our hero meets a completely new character. She is Natalia Korda, a girl with extraordinary powers that enable her to sense enemies and hidden objects. Using these abilities, combined with Barry’s proven combat skills, players will alternate between the two characters to survive on a mysterious island and find Moira. Terrifying enemies lurk in every dark alley, so Barry will be forced to use his ammunition and weapons wisely, according to the rules of the classic survival horror genre.
Following the episodic layout of the original Resident Evil Revelations, future installments of Resident Evil Revelations 2 will initially be released as weekly episodes available for download starting February 24, 2015. Players also have the option to purchase the entire series or a boxed bundle, which will provide fans of the game with access to future episodes along with additional content on launch days. Each episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 features Assault Mode content, as well as two scenarios, one related to Claire and Moira’s previously introduced campaign, and the other to Barry and Natalia’s newly reimagined story.

There are 15 characters and over 200 locations available in the new and improved Assault Mode, along with a host of new features such as new locations from already published RE titles, more advanced progression mechanics, additional difficulty levels, new weapons and parts, as well as 4x more character abilities than in version 1.
