Originally released in 1998, Resident Evil 2, one of the most iconic and recognizable games of all time, returns in a refreshed version for next-gen consoles. Resident Evil 2 will offer players a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga in a modern and polished, yet chilling audiovisual setting.
Resident Evil 2, the masterpiece that defined the survival horror genre, is back! The game has been completely revamped to deepen the story as much as possible. A novelty will be the camera from behind the hero’s shoulder and a number of modifications to the gameplay mechanics compared to the original.

Players will be joined by New York City police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield. Their fates were brought together by a catastrophic explosion in Raccoon City, which transformed the city’s populations into deadly zombies. Both Leon and Claire have separate gameplay scenarios, allowing players to experience the story from the perspective of both characters. The fate of fan-favorite characters who, in order to survive and get to the bottom of what lies behind the horrific and catastrophic attack on the city, lies in the hands of the players, Will they survive?
