In the world of Eclisse, the ruling Empire of Estellion is besieged by a plague of embittered religious fanatics from the swampy nation of Kaysan, erased from history by the arrogance of the Empire. As the Empire grapples with an almost endless swarm of invaders and ruthless political mechanisms, its heroes must fight to restore the raven’s banners… Or fall from the Scourge of Estellion.
Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion is a turn-based war game where strategic troop placement is crucial to success. Battles use a dynamic system in which actions of allies and opponents are taken during a simultaneous battle phase. As a result, commanders in Ravenmark must think ahead, anticipating all enemy moves instead of simply reacting to them.
Hero traits, active abilities, and a plethora of unit stats come into play in Ravenmark, and they need to be evaluated and used in the best way possible. It’s all wonderfully described in the Ravenmark Codex, where you’ll be able to learn more about the different characters and unit types, and explore the deep and rich backstory that the game is based on.
In Ravenmark, you are free to choose your own formations. Proper use of unique command systems will be crucial to victory! Will you line up your spearhead formations in a single line for easier command and a longer front? Or will your formations be small and flexible? These are just some of the choices you’ll have to make as you fight in many of your battles!
