Order of Battle Allies Resurgent

This content requires the base version of Order of Battle: World War II on Steam to play.

Allies Resurgent is the second chapter of a trilogy of DLC expansions depicting World War II from the perspective of the Allies. The new campaign features battles in North Africa, the Mediterranean and finally Europe from late 1942 to early 1944.

At the beginning of the campaign, the player commands US forces in Operation Torch, which marks the beginning of US involvement in the fighting in North Africa. After the first battle with Vichy-French units, the player must win against the veterans of the Axis forces in Tunisia.

Later, the campaign shifts to the advance of the British Eighth Army in southern Tunisia. After successfully breaking through the Mareth Line, the British advance north: their goal is to form a continuous front with the Allied forces that participated in Operation Torch, and to enter Tunisia from the west.

In the spring of 1943, the player takes command of American and British forces in a combined offensive to retake Tunis and end the Axis presence in North Africa for good.

The final stage of the Allies Resurgent shows the return of Allied ground forces to Europe, beginning with the amphibious invasion of Sicily. In the end, the player must attack mainland Italy at Salerno, defeat the German defenses on the Volturno line and finally retake Rome.

Allies Resurgent also adds a number of new units for both Allied and Axis nations, two new specializations, and five new Allied commanders.
