A wizard of souls and the former host of the Mortal Kombat tournament. Shang Tsung was born in Earthrealm, and was led to the Outworld by his uncompromising quest for magical power. It was there that Shao Kahn offered him a dark power that no sorcerer of Earthrealm could provide. In exchange for his power filled with pure evil, Shang Tsung pledged allegiance to Shao Kahn for all time. By no means is he his humble servant. He dreams of the day when magic will surpass Shao Kahn’s power and he will pay any price to make it happen.
