All-new hunting mechanics
All 14 weapons have been updated with new moves and combos. Each weapon has even more unique actions. Each weapon now allows you to use the Grapple, a new slingshot feature that allows you to attach to monsters. This technique drains stamina, but opens up new possibilities to control the movement of monsters!
New Quest Difficulty: Mastery!
In addition to the Low and High levels, we’ve added a new quest difficulty level called “Master Level”.
Mastery quests will be available after purchasing the Iceborne expansion. As part of these quests, players will be able to earn new materials and fight even stronger monsters!
New location: Frosty Shore
Frostshore, an unknown land that has yet to be explored by man, is home to many species of animals, plants, and monsters that can only exist in harsh climates. It’s also geographically diverse, with expanses of snow slowing down traffic, pleasant hot springs, and even unstable terrain that threatens to landslides! The visuals are among the most detailed in the Monster Hunter series!
Tons of new monsters!
Frostshore is home to many new animals and monsters, including the snow-swimming Beotodus, the rampaging Banbaro, and the mysterious ancient dragon Velkhana.
We’re also making changes to familiar lands! Fans can keep an eye out for new tracks of their favorite monsters, such as Tigrex and Nargacuga!
