LEGO® The Lord of the Rings is based on the Lord of the Rings film trilogy and expands on the main storylines of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
Players are drawn into a great adventure filled with humor and an endless variety of LEGO bricks.
Frodo is forced to leave the safety of his home to face the dangerous task of destroying an ancient magic ring whose existence threatens the entire world. The ring, however, is looking for its ruler …
The road to Mount Doom, the only place where the ring can be annihilated, will be dangerous, full of orcs and even darker creatures. Frodo will be aided by the Fellowship of the Ring – the guardian Aragorn, the wizard Gandalf, the elf Legolas, the dwarf Gimli, Gondor’s husband Boromir and Frodo’s hobbit friends: Sam, Merry and Pippin.
Players will take on the role of LEGO characters and live out this legend as they discover untold wonders, solve clever puzzles, and defeat waves of enemies to finally destroy the Ring.
The LEGO® Lord of the Rings game complements the new LEGO® Lord of the Rings toy collection, which went on sale in the summer of 2012.
