Konung 3 Ties of The Dynasty
Konung 3 is the next installment of the original and warmly received real-time strategy game with strong influences of RPG elements. The third approach of the developers, as the name suggests, resulted primarily in a significant improvement in the graphic design, now presented in 3D – after all, almost 5 years have passed since the release of the second part of the game.
What has remained unchanged is the plot – once again we have to enter a world where the mythologies of three great nations – the Slavs, the Scandinavians and the Byzantines – are mixed. The age of the Titans, of great heroes and powerful rulers, is gone forever – there are other times – times when the throne of the Grand Duchy is deserted, And the common people are looking for a new leader. Many adventurers and adventurers try their luck to take advantage of the interregnum, but only one, the one who manages to find the legendary sword of the Heroes, will become the ruler of the Grand Duchy. As you can guess, one of the pretenders to the throne is you, dear player – now all you have to do is find the aforementioned artifact. However, this task is not the easiest one, as among your competitors there are people who wield the remnants of the power of the bracelet destroyed in the second part of the game.
Compared to its predecessors, Konung 3 puts much more emphasis on RPG elements – our character has gained new skills, and the system of interaction with NPCs has also been modified. The characters we will talk to are now more “human” – the range of available dialogue options has been expanded and such small elements as facial expressions or gestures of our interlocutors have been added. The revolution has also affected the combat system – weapons have gained new, unique properties, and the creation of weapons is now possible with the help of magical herbs. While we’re on the subject of magic, it should be added that the developers of Konung 3 decided to improve the gameplay in this area as well – a new and quite powerful arsenal of combat spells was given to us.
As in the previous part of the game, at the beginning of the game we can choose one of the six available characters, described by 4 coefficients – dexterity, intellect, strength and endurance. Each of the nations present in the game has been “gifted” in a fair way – they are represented by both men and women. Of course, the gameplay differs depending on the chosen hero (heroine) – each of them has different abilities. For example, while some people find it easier to gain allies, others rely on their magical skills. Last but not least, it is worth mentioning the advanced possibilities of managing and defending the player’s settlements against enemies.
