Deep Sky Derelicts - Station Life

“Life on the Station” is the second expansion to “Deep Sky Derelicts”. It’s focused on making the Station—your gatherers’ home and safe haven—a more vibrant, diverse, and useful place to prepare for dangerous forays for a better gaming experience.

The modified station will provide new possibilities for upgrading and customizing your crew, allowing you to craft unique weapons and equipment, reset and strengthen the nervous system of its members, and even change their appearance to your liking. On top of that, there are randomly generated, challenging encounters and limited-time events featuring fellow residents of the station – as always, they can easily lull your guard down and test your combat prowess, luck, or business acumen. In addition, in the local bar you will find wanted posters for dangerous individuals, which you can hunt down while plundering wrecks and thus earn unique trophies and large cash prizes. As if that wasn’t enough, a new character class awaits you – the Inventor!

New and improved station facilities:

• A constructor’s workshop (an extension of the research workshop) that allows you to produce any type of equipment after disassembling an item of the appropriate type.
• Advanced medical services: experimental wing and neural processing wing, allowing:
  – installation of implants to enhance various abilities and skills of crew members,
  – character reset that allows you to redistribute skill points (available for free to owners of the base game!),
  – Customization of the crew’s appearance, including changes to the character’s portrait and individual elements of their suits (available for free to owners of the base game!).
• New technologies and improvements in the Research Workshop (related to crafting and implants).

Random events at the station:

• Defending the station from random invaders
• Peaceful communication with station dwellers and other gatherers
• Haggling with a variety of traders, including shady picks offering high-risk but equally profitable offers
• Brawls with enemy scavenger crews
• All of this is set in new environments with unique backgrounds
• New Missions and Contracts:
• 10 lucrative new bounty hunter bounties, where you can locate and eliminate groups of elite enemies that pose a challenge with specialized equipment and unique traits
• A dozen new side missions and several new NPC encounters

In addition:

• New Class: Inventor – A tanky, melee-focused character with no shields, but unique health-regenerating abilities that he uses in combat
• New types of equipment, especially useful for Hybrid Specializations, as well as new and notable modifications and consumables
• 6 new enemies of varying strength and nature, adding variety to your raids to the wreckage.
