It will affect all of us, but Mr. Samson is the one who is not lucky today – he is dying… He collapses in his own mind and each subsequent second lasts longer and longer. In the beginning, the first second was like three seconds. Time passed more slowly for him than for others. The next second was like five minutes. He had a lot of time to reflect on his life. For everyone it was a matter of a few seconds, for him it took forever. After all, the last second of his life was stretched to infinity… And this is where we begin our adventure, where you move through a 4-dimensional system. Space and time are connected here, and you have the ability to move not only in three directions (width, height, and depth), but also in the fourth, which is time.
Clinically Dead is a game about the passage of time in the process of dying
The action takes place in a person’s mind during death. Time doesn’t flow the way we’re used to it in the real world. It can not only flow forward, but it can also be stopped or reversed. Time is related to space. So when we move in the game, we also move in time. And time modifies different things in the game.
Time and space are intertwined. Moving around changes time, but it also affects the health of the main character
Space-time is represented by colors that are plotted on the level of the game. The blue color is a low-value time. Red is a color where time has a high value. The rest of the colors represent the times between the maximum and minimum values. Think of it as a weather forecast, where the temperature is represented on the map as colors. As you swipe on the weather map, the time changes. The same thing happens in the game. As you move around the game map, time changes.
The time field can also be modified by moving various items in the game. Time also determines the player’s life points, which means that negative time (dark black color) makes us have to start again. You can think of it as a triple link. Time to space and time to the health of the player.
Your Goal
You’re dying and you’re trapped in your mind. All that’s left to die is a few seconds. You have to collect those seconds to be able to rest in peace. Watch out for the monsters in your brain. This game isn’t a horror game, but it does offer a few goosebump-inducing moments, just the way we like it.
