Battle Academy is an action-packed tactical strategy game in which you take command of a select group of units and lead them in battles on many different fronts of World War II. As a commander, you’ll need to use a real-world strategy of combined forces to secure victory. This means you’ll have to set up ambushes to surprise enemy forces, use suppressive fire to pin them down, flank enemy armored units for maximum effectiveness, and, if necessary, strike at the enemy to clear strong points. In some cases, you’ll also have access to powerful off-map artillery and air support that can weaken enemy defenses or even stop enemy attacks. At the same time, you’ll need to pay a lot of attention to your units’ morale gauge and use your recon units to spot enemy ambushes or flanking attacks.
To achieve this, Battle Academy offers a simple and intuitive interface that makes it easy to control your units while ensuring you don’t lose control of the battlefield. This means you’ll only be focused on what really matters: your mission objectives, tactics, and unit placement.
The game engine is also completely scripted and so easy to modify, allowing players to create their own missions and scenarios, or even complete modifications to the game in a simple and efficient way.
Multiplayer
Slytherine’s revolutionary server-based PBEM++ system completes this package for a gaming experience that will satisfy both experienced players and newcomers. This asynchronous multiplayer system means you can easily find opponents anywhere, anytime, around the world, and play at your own pace. Thousands of games are played here all the time.
Battle Academy is also available on the iPad, offering cross-platform multiplayer, which means there’s always someone out there ready to challenge you online! You can even start your turn at home on your PC and continue playing, or play a new round on your iPad on the train.
