Bannermen is a real-time fantasy strategy game set in the medieval land of Valtoria. The title combines the best features of classic RTS games, while revolutionizing and enriching the genre.
GAME MODES
- Single-player campaign; Take on the role of a fallen lord and become one of the most powerful rulers in all of the land.
- Skirmishes with AI; Fight battles against the AI and fight for the fate of humanity.
- Ranked matches; Climb to the top of the online leaderboard by fighting alone or as a team of two to become the best commander.
- Unranked matches; Experiment with new strategies or loosen up in an unranked mode where you can easily find matches online.
- Custom games; Choose your own team composition and a map to play with up to 8 players.
STORYLINE
After a crushing defeat at the Battle of Beckron, you, Lord Berrian, must recover the soldiers who surrendered to Lord Karthor. The glory days are over. Terror grips the land, and stopping Lord Karthor’s men requires more and more casualties. Deprived of your home, you must traverse the vast lands of Valtoria in search of supplies and soldiers to fight for your cause, but beware: in this war, every day is worth its weight in gold.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is focused on controlling units, fighting for control of the map, and clashes with the enemy. Control each unit manually and use its abilities wisely. To become a good commander, you need to skillfully manage resources and create bases in strategic locations. Each map contains unique natural powers, i.e. spells that can be cast to wreak havoc on the enemy ranks. Unlocking these powers is quite a challenge: you must build and defend temples that can only be erected in sacred places located in strategic positions on the map. You also have a hero under your command that you can develop to increase his power and unlock powerful spells.
In addition to online matches and custom games, Bannermen features a full single-player campaign in which you traverse the land of Valtoria as its hero. Take command of troops, free prisoners, conquer strongholds, manage resources, and construct buildings to achieve victory in the great war. Learn to fight on extremely diverse terrains; Attack under the cover of sandstorms, set traps to fend off incoming attacks, and blow up enemies with exploding barrels. Use the environment to fight the enemy – the only limit is your imagination.
