The Nintendo Switch Online internet service offers its users access to online games, cloud backup for compatible titles, and the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online, a growing selection of classic NES games that can now be played online.

There are also special offers and a Nintendo Switch online app for smartphones and tablets, which makes it even easier and more thrilling to have fun online with the right games.

At launch, there are 20 classic NES games to play, including Super Mario Bros 3, The Legend of Zelda, Ice Hockey, and more. New NES games will be added regularly.

• If you create a family group, up to eight Nintendo accounts can use Nintendo Switch Online 
• Online Play: Team up with your friends and compete against rivals from around the world for Nintendo Switch titles that support this feature, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2.
• Nintendo Entertainment System – Access Nintendo Switch Online anytime, anywhere to expand your selection of NES classics and take advantage of newly added online features!
• Storage Data Cloud: This feature automatically and securely stores your online game data. This will help you easily recover your game data if you lose your Nintendo Switch or end up using another console. Note: This feature is not supported by any software.
• Smartphone app: Use the Smartphone app for Nintendo Switch smartphones to communicate with friends via voice chat and take advantage of special features of compatible Nintendo Switch titles. This service can only be used by users who are at least 13 years old and have a Nintendo Account.
