BorderZone
BorderZone is another title set in the distant future. We are talking about around the year 9000. This product is a combination of a classic action game and a simple RPG. Duels are a key element of BorderZone. The player takes on the role of a man named Olaf, one of the few surviving humans living on the planet Terra. Everyone else died as a result of an event known as the Breakdown, which took place several centuries ago. Terra is inhabited by a total of 10 different races. The actual game begins in a city called Taria. One of the main activities of the player is to explore the huge game world, search for new quests and fight. Despite the fact that the main character of BorderZone is Olaf, there are a total of five characters during the game. Of course, each subordinate hero needs to be developed. In addition to improving their stats, the player also needs to take care of their inventory. You can choose between traditional weapons and much more powerful magical ones. Multiple moments in the game allow you to choose one of several ways to behave, making the game non-linear. The player’s actions will lead to one of several different endings.
At the very beginning of the game, the player has to decide what profession his hero should represent. There are several standard ones to choose from, m.in. warrior, mage, soldier or thief. In addition to the aforementioned five heroes, the team led by Olaf is joined by free mercenaries. In exchange for a corresponding payment, they will help the player in heavier fights. However, they are not controlled in any other way. The attributes of the main character can be divided into several categories. These include defensive skills or abilities in the use of various types of weapons (or magic). The monsters in the game are divided into races, character classes, and professions.
Each player can choose one of several weapons at any time. They are stored in specially prepared slots. There are about 80 types of melee weapons in the game. Those who prefer magic can choose from dozens of spells. They were divided into offensive and defensive.
