Konung 2 Bloods of Titans
The official sequel to “Konung: Legends of the North”. “Konung” combines selected features of role-playing games, real-time strategy and adventure games, with RPG elements definitely prevailing. The game is characterized by uncomplicated rules and gameplay mechanics, which brings to mind the “Diablo” saga.
The plot of the game is largely related to what was presented in the first part. Theoretically, good prevailed, but very soon it turned out that the soul of the hero, who contributed to defeating the forces of darkness, was possessed by a demonic artifact – a bracelet called Sovereign. A recent hero has turned into a dark master. Now he is a direct threat to the land he was saving not long ago. His mind is fully controlled by the artifact, and he tries to get another one, which could make him even stronger. As legend has it, only six descendants of the Titans can face him. This task will not be easy, because apart from the dark master himself, there are his subordinates waiting for them, as well as ordinary monsters that roam the land. The player chooses one of these six people and embarks on a crusade to save the world. This one, like in the first part of the game, combines fantasy elements with events that took place in history. Fiction is primarily “represented” by the presence of magic, demonic beings, or immortal heroes. On the other hand, associations with reality are to be evoked by the presence of many real cultures and nations, including the Byzantine Empire or the valiant Vikings.
The mechanics of the game have remained virtually unchanged. The player has six characters to choose from, both male and female. An important role is played by the development of the controlled character. As the game progresses, she advances to the next levels of experience and also acquires new skills. Most of them are used during fights. However, the fun does not end with the battles themselves, the controlled hero has frequent conversations with non-player characters. In this way, the player acquires new tasks (quests), and often learns useful things. In the cities, he trades in his possessions. Interestingly, he can manage selected villages, which brings to mind real-time strategies. Other improvements include improved AI, more locations to visit (including dungeons), an expanded range of combat behaviors, completely new enemies, and weapon types.
