It’s the summer of 1942 on the Eastern Front, and Operation Fall Blau is about to begin. The German Wehrmacht must continue its march to Stalingrad deep into the Caucasus to ensure victory in the fight against the Red Army. With the passage of time and more battles, winter arrives, and with it begins the Soviet counteroffensive with the hope of halting the Wehrmacht’s march to victory.
Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue features an easy-to-learn interface and challenging AI for players of all experience levels. Among the many new features in the Decisive Campaigns series is the optional High Command order system, which places you in the position of a historical commander, with often difficult and unrealistic goals set for you by your superiors. Succeed and you’ll be able to direct your future strategy in the campaign – fail and you’ll be removed from high command or executed by a firing squad!
These new scenarios in the full campaign present an improbable twist on the story, including the full Fall Blau campaign with many historical options. The battle situation can change based on your performance, and the direction of the entire campaign is within your reach if you try accordingly. Whether you start the game in the summer of 1942 or take control of the start of Operation Uranus, you’ll find an unlimited number of “What Ifs…” options in each of these richly detailed campaigns.
