Victorian Admirals

Naval war games from the steamship period, focusing on real-time fleet battles. Naval combat allows you to create groups of combat squadrons, their formations and management, with realistic models and characteristics of ships, as well as advanced ballistic and armament models.

(Alternate History) In the second half of the 1880s, imperialist policies in the tropical Pacific led to a local naval conflict between the United States, Chile, the German Empire, and the Kingdom of Spain.
None of the participants wanted a big war. Therefore, only a quick clash of colonial squadrons in tropical waters will decide who will rule Oceania.

Panama Crisis with Chile vs. USA 1885

In 1884. Chile emerged from the Pacific War as a potential threat to U.S. hegemony. The Chilean Navy, then the strongest fleet in the Pacific, was able to confront American policy. In 1882. Chile refused to mediate the U.S. in the war in the Pacific. In 1885, when the U.S. Navy occupied Colon and then part of Columbia, the Chilean government ordered its fleet to occupy Panama City and force the U.S. squadron to evacuate Colon.

Crisis of the Caroline Islands with Germany and Spain 1885

Germany had started its colonial venture very late and was therefore at a disadvantage, due to the fact that all the coveted places were already occupied. The Spanish occupied the Caroline Islands as their colony, but they didn’t really control them. Germany therefore disputed the Spanish claim.

In August 1885. Spain sent warships to Yap (Caroline Island) to assert its territorial claims; however, the German government was aware of the situation and the squadron arrived the night before the Spanish army landed.

Mariana Islands Incident – Spain vs. USA 1887

Strengthen your position in the Pacific Ocean; The United States must control at least one of the tropical islands, such as the Spanish Mariana Islands or the Samoan archipelago. Events in Cuba and internal problems did not allow Spain to strengthen its colonies in Oceania. The great powers were not interested in supporting Spain’s interests in the Pacific and did not interfere in the conflict.

None of the participants wanted a big war. Therefore, only a quick clash of colonial squadrons in tropical waters will decide who will rule the Marianas after 1887.

Samoan Crisis with Germany vs. USA 1889

The archipelago of Samoa is the last of the territories of Oceania that have not yet been colonized. The German Empire, through a supreme tribal chief, attempts to establish control over Samoa. This leads to a civil war between the natives. The United States supports the rebels. The governments of both nations sent warships to the largest and most crowded port of Apia, Samoa. Naval squadron commanders are ready for battle. Trade conflict and strategic interests can only be resolved by force.
