STORYLINE
From the creators of the award-winning sci-fi game Out There…
In the near future, a paradigm-shifting scientific discovery is emerging in the world, promising radical new technologies. The world’s superpowers realize that they may have the power to destroy the global financial system, destroy entire countries, or even gain access to immortality.
However, this discovery – called the “Sigma Theory” – can only be used by a handful of scientists. You are placed at the head of the Sigma department in your country. Your goal is to make sure that it is your nation that benefits from the Sigma theory before anyone else.
To achieve this, you’ll have powerful resources at your disposal: a cadre of the world’s most elite secret agents, advanced tactical drones, and, of course, your own skills in diplomacy and deception.
The Cold War is coming, in which humanity must face its future.
ESPIONAGE SIMULATION
Turn-based espionage: Use special agents to dominate the world. Seduction, blackmail, manipulation, industrial espionage… Any blow is allowed and encouraged.
Dynamic Narrative: Develop and manage relationships with more than 100 NPCs: lobbyists, armed groups, politicians… Alliance, deception or assassination, take your pick.
Field Operations: Direct the kidnappings of your targets as you capture through the world’s largest cities. Discretion or direct confrontation, your agent’s life is in your hands.
Recruitment
First, hire a team of four special agents with 50 unique characters to unlock. Each has their own story, motivations, and traits that determine their behavior during missions.
Get access to the Investigator, Soldier, Hacker, Seducer, and other archetypes to complete the Sigma Division and execute the strategy.
Espionage
When your team is ready, assign them missions around the world to gather scientists, uncover compromising documents about local politicians, and more.
Use the abilities of your agents to seduce, manipulate, and bribe your targets to your side or neutralize them.
Counterespionage
Other nations will also use their agents to infiltrate your country and take over your scientists. Track, intercept, and interrogate them to gain information about your enemies, then turn them into a ransom when they’re no longer useful.
Exfiltration
Order your agents to exfiltrate the scientists recruited for your case as you intercept the turn-based exfiltration phases of the world’s largest capitals. Choose a position where the drones work smartly to support these delicate missions.
Diplomacy
In Sigma theory, diplomacy is the key to achieving goals. Get to know your foreign counterparts and pursue your goals with flattery, threats, or blackmail. You can also recover captured agents, speed up research, and much more. Develop your relations with powerful lobbies and armed and influential groups to gain their favor. But be careful, they may turn their backs on you.
Tech Tree
The Sigma theory is the cause of this Cold War. Rally scientists from all over the world to discover new technologies to gain the upper hand and change the world. Mind control, destabilization of the world economy, robotic soldiers, immortality… Will you keep these discoveries to yourself or share them with the world?
